Nexans releases 2025 Sustainability Highlights

Nexans continues to advance sustainable electrification through measurable progress across people development, climate ambition, circularity and governance excellence. The “2025 Sustainability Highlights” show how our E3 operating model – combining Environment, Economy and Engagement – translates our sustainability ambition into measurable impact and long-terme value for all stakeholders.

Accelerating climate action and circularity

Climate action remains a core priority for Nexans’ strategy. In 2025, the Group delivered substantial progress toward its decarbonization roadmap:

• 49% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to the baseline year
• 40% reduction in Scope 3 emissions, reflecting continued engagement with suppliers and partners across the value chain

These results support Nexans’ long-term objective of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050, aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments and the 1.5°C trajectory.

And at the heart of our climate ambitions, circularity remains a key pillar of Nexans’ strategy. In 2025, thanks to our circularity initiatives and partnerships across copper, aluminum and polymers, the Group processed more than 95,000 tons of recycled raw materials.

Furthermore, the €90 million Nexans Continuous Casting & Recycling (NCCCR) project – commissionned in 2027 – will enable the Group to process up to 80,000 tons of recycled copper annually, strengthening supply resilience while reducing reliance on primary raw materials.

Strengthening engagement and responsible practices

Nexans also continued to advance its social and governance priorities. In 2025, 29.2% of management roles within the electrification perimeter were held by women, reflecting the Group’s commitment to inclusive leadership. At the same time, Nexans engaged around 600 strategic suppliers to promote responsible, ethical and sustainable business practices across its supply chain. These initiatives demonstrate how Nexans integrates sustainability across its operations, workforce and partnerships.
