Fondation Nexans is launching its 14th call for projects aimed at NGOs and organizations committed to improving access to sustainable electricity and training in energy-related professions.
Open from February 2, this call for projects is accepting applications until March 2, 2026.
Objectives of the Fondation Nexans Call for Projects
Eligible projects must meet one or more of the following objectives:
- Enable access to sustainable electricity for populations that are underserved or not connected;
- Promote training, learning, and skills development in energy-related professions and electrification;
- Support environmental projects related to electricity and the energy transition.
Since 2013, the Fondation Nexans’ call for projects has been a major milestone in its commitment to a more sustainable and inclusive energy. To date, over 3 million people have benefited from initiatives supported worldwide.

Fondation Nexans: Recent examples
Each year, approximately ten projects are selected. Featured 2025 projects:
- Benin: the 3R project, led by NGO GERES, aims to study, valorize, and structure the solar energy waste management sector. This innovative program reduces the environmental impact of solar energy while strengthening the skills and training of local stakeholders in the sector.
- Peru: in partnership with TECHO Peru, the foundation supports the Luz al Barrio project, which improves street lighting in certain neighborhoods of Lima to reduce the sense of insecurity. Many communities across the country are already benefiting from this initiative.
- Morocco: the foundation partners with the ENR Cluster on the Green Midelt project. Implemented over three years, this initiative aims to develop local entrepreneurship and renewable energy skills in the Midelt region through targeted training and mentoring programs.

Nexans has officially handed over the 225 kV export cable system for the Dieppe–Le Tréport offshore wind farm to RTE, completing four years of execution. The system is now operational, with Nexans entering the long-term maintenance phase, supporting France’s offshore wind development and energy transition.
