On June 25, 2025, Nexans hosted the 5th edition of its annual Suppliers Day — a key event that brings together the Group’s preferred suppliers. A pivotal moment to align nearly 300 strategic partners with Nexans’ 2025–2028 roadmap, first unveiled at our Capital Markets Day in London in autumn 2024.

An Exceptional Setting for a Strategic Milestone

Following a fully virtual edition in 2024, the 2025 Suppliers Day was held in a unique and symbolic venue: the Parc des Princes stadium — home to the newly crowned European football champions, PSG, following their victory over Milan. A powerful nod to French excellence in both industry and sport.

Taking full advantage of this exceptional location, guests were offered two immersive experiences: a guided tour of the stadium and a virtual tour of our manufacturing facilities — including our Charleston plant, which produces cutting-edge submarine cables.

Sparking Electrification: Engaging our Ecosystem for the future of energy

“Let’s stop talking about suppliers — let’s talk about partners.” With these words, Christopher Guérin, CEO of Nexans, opened the plenary session, a key moment to present the Group’s 2025–2028 strategy: Sparking Electrification.

And now start the time for amplification. Amplification is not only providing cables but solutions innovations sustainability and as well doing acquisitions.

While the E3 performance model — the focal point of the 2024 edition — remains the backbone of our supplier partnerships, the 2025 Suppliers Day focused on major market trends and the opportunities to be seized by 2028.

This roadmap is built around two strategic pillars. It represents real opportunities for our partners, because our ambitions are high. But it also comes with strong expectations — we must deliver on our objectives together.

VP Purchasing Group Portfolio & Global initiatives, Nexans

To illustrate the roadmap, Vincent Dessale, Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Strategic Projects and Key Accounts, detailed our market segments and how Nexans positions itself as a reference partner for its customers.

Our customers want to have capacity, they want to have reliability. They want to have also quality. And the best way for them to have these three elements is to secure long term contract. And of course, to produce our cables, we need your components. And we are asking you a kind of mirroring engagement.

Senior EVP, Strategic Projects & Key Accounts, Nexans

Global investments, customized solutions, and accelerated digitalization are at the heart of Nexans’ 2025–2028 strategy.

Simplification, Selectivity, & Performance: a shared commitment

The same level of ambition Nexans holds for its customers must also guide expectations toward its suppliers — in order to jointly contribute to a more sustainable, efficient, and resilient electrification journey.

We are in a totally new context today” explained Jérôme Chiquet. “Not only our heavy investments in our 3 Electrification segments will offer Nexans’ full potential but also we can leverage the Company’ simplification to further consolidate and rationalize. In other words, we will strenghten our selective process to work with Partners that consider Nexans as their preferred Customers.

The afternoon continued with breakout sessions led by our business experts in charge of PWR TransmissionPWR Grid, and PWR Connect, showcasing current projects and innovations across each of our markets. These sessions also reinforced Nexans’ attractiveness and clarified expectations in each segment.

This day was a clear demonstration that we are at a turning point in our electrification journey. We need our best suppliers with us. They must become true partners and actively engage with us in this transformation.
Jérôme Chiquet, VP Purchasing Group Portfolio & Global initiatives

Recognizing partner excellence

The event concluded with the traditional Suppliers Awards Ceremony, honoring the most impactful supplier initiatives in line with our E3 strategy. Five awards were presented across five categories:

  • Reliability & Business Continuity
  • Sustainable Total Cost Competitiveness
  • CSR & Environment
  • Innovation & Differentiation
  • E3 Partnership

In the most prestigious category — E3 Partnership — the award went to NextGeo, a long-standing partner supporting our PWR Transmission operations, recognized for the high quality and agility of their offshore activities serving several of our major projects.
