Sponsorships

As a human and humanist group, Nexans leverages its skills and expertise to serve the general interest through numerous sponsorship actions and cultural, sporting and academic partnerships.

Commitment – Nexans, partner of the Université de la Terre 2025

Created in 2005, the Université de la terre is a gathering open to the general public dedicated to reflection, sharing and debate on the major challenges threatening our planet, living ecosystems and social cohesion.

As a sponsor of the event, Nexans demonstrates its commitment through its corporate foundation, the Fondation Nexans. This symbolism is particularly meaningful for a special edition subtitled Nature = Future, echoing the Foundation’s actions. Present throughout the two days of the event, the Nexans Foundation benefited from unprecedented visibility in a prestigious setting: UNESCO (Paris VII).

The company’s commitment was also reflected in the participation of its CEO, Christopher Guérin, who took part in a sold-out roundtable discussion titled: “Who will save the planet: politicians, citizens, or companies?”

We are delighted by the enthusiasm shown by participants for the Nexans Foundation and its missions. Our projects are meaningful and resonate strongly with the theme of the event, Nature = Future. The Nexans Foundation fully belongs at this event because we contribute to more sustainable electrification, and the public clearly understands this.

Sport – Nexans and RC Lens, a shared territory, a common ambition

With its cable manufacturing site operating in Lens since 1929, Nexans became an official partner of Racing Club de Lens in 2022. As a sponsor, Nexans benefits from significant brand visibility at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on match days, as well as on the digital communication media of the Sang et Or (Blood and Gold, T.N.) club. The Group has also joined the Bollaert Business Team, the RC Lens business network.

Nexans has strong roots in this region of northern France, as it is an energy hub. Through this partnership, Nexans expresses its gratitude to the employees who work on a daily basis for the energy transition, many of whom support RC Lens and identify with its shared values: commitment and team spirit.

In 2025, Nexans and RCL extended their partnership until 2028. Still committed to supporting both the men’s and women’s teams of the club, this renewal comes in the year the RCL women’s team reached the highest level of French football. Positioned above the crest of the Sang et Or, the Nexans logo continues to be worn with pride.

I am very pleased to see Nexans extend its partnership with Racing for three additional seasons. A flagship of local industry and an international player, Nexans has been a true emblem of the mining basin since its establishment in Lens more than a century ago. We are honored to continue wearing the Nexans logo on our jerseys and to associate our daily values with theirs—solidarity, humility and the constant pursuit of excellence. In both industry and football, these principles are essential to the performance and long-term sustainability of institutions. This renewal continues a meaningful collaboration, strengthened by the development of synergies with Racing Cœur de Lens around more sustainable initiatives, as well as by the deep attachment many Nexans employees have for Racing.

Agathe Pauli – Supporting all athletes

Following the great celebration of the Paris Olympic Games, Nexans wished to maintain a connection with the Olympic spirit by supporting Paralympic swimmer Agathe Pauli.

A three-time French champion, world and European medalist, and finalist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Agathe Pauli embodies perseverance, courage and the determination to always push her limits further. A determination and courage that strongly resonate with our deepest values.

Agathe Pauli at Nexans Bourg en Bresse in 2026

As part of our partnership, Agathe Pauli has already visited several Nexans Europe sites.

At Ampacity, our innovation center, and our factory in Bourg-en-Bresse, Agathe shared her enthusiasm, energy, and advice as a top athlete with the Nexans teams.

This partnership illustrates Nexans’ commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the group! Nexans will be supporting Agathe Pauli until the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
