Diversity is an essential performance driver

Nexans welcomes and respects everyone’s differences, promotes equal opportunities and fosters an inclusive culture among all its employees. The Group believes that a diverse workforce stimulates innovation, increases engagement and enhances business performance. Nexans’ Executive Committee mirrors this diversity (its ten members come from four different countries) as does its headquarters (where some 30 nationalities work side by side).

Regardless of our gender, age, origin, sexual orientation and abilities, we are all united across our differences and around our aim to Electrify the future. This diversity makes us stronger and expands our horizons. Our policy to eradicate all forms of discrimination includes fighting for gender equality, integrating youths and senior citizens, people with disabilities and people with diverse sexual orientations, as well as providing access to specialist training.

Our Inclusion and Diversity Policy aims to create a workplace environment that values and respects individual differences, promotes equal opportunities, and fosters a culture of inclusion for all employees.

We in Nexans is driving our Inclusion and Diversity (I&D)

The WiN (We in Nexans) in-house network, which we set up in 2018, brings together women and men from various functions and levels in the Group’s organization. It addresses all the issues associated with inclusion and diversity, in conjunction with our policy in this area. This network is active in all our business groups and business units, and encourages inclusion and diversity through various local and global initiatives, which include celebrating International Women’s Day, Pride Month and International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It also developed the first in-house class on unconscious bias, and organizes mentorship programs and numerous events at local level.

An I&D dashboard sets measurable objectives and tracks our progress on the inclusion and diversity front. We provide updates on our action in our ESG report and our E3 (Economy, Environment, Engagement) performance dashboard.
