SupraMarine project: Superconducting power transmission for offshore wind farms

Air Liquide, CentraleSupรฉlec, ITP Interpipe, Nexans, and RTE have joined forces to develop a superconducting power transmission demonstrator designed to accelerate energy transition. Called SupraMarine, the project is key to developing a subsea superconducting system, which will ultimately strengthen the competitiveness of offshore wind energy far from the coast. Each partner brings complementary expertise to this cutting-edge technology.

Completes critical repair of Estlink 2 subsea interconnector between Finland and Estonia

Nexans, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of cable systems and services, specializing in the offshore wind sector and subsea interconnectors, has completed the repair of the Estlink 2 interconnector under contract for Fingrid, Finlandโ€™s transmission system operator. The successful operation reinstates one of the Baltic regionโ€™s most important electricity links.
