Nexans at ChangeNOW 2025

From April 24 to 26, 2025, Nexans took part in ChangeNOW – the world’s largest event for solutions to the planet’s most pressing challenges – as an official partner. Our presence embodied the Group’s commitment to driving concrete action for a more sustainable, resilient, and human-centered world.

High-Voltage Conversations

At this year’s edition, Nexans brought the voice of industry to the heart of idea-driven debates. On April 26 at the Grand Palais, Nexans CEO Christopher Guérin shared his vision of a sustainable future during the conference “Rebuilding the Essentials – Perspectives for a Sustainable World“. Alongside sociologist Michaël Dandrieux, industrial geographer Anaïs Voy-Gillis, and architect Philippe Chiambaretta, he advocated for deliberate sobriety, renewed collective narratives, and a long-term vision rooted in essentials – rather than growth at all costs.

Circular Economy at the Core of Nexans’ Model

On April 25, Nexans hosted a dedicated event on circular economy: “Today’s Waste, Tomorrow’s Growth”. David Grall, VP Sustainability, and Xavier Mathieu, VP Metallurgy, outlined the Group’s strategy to recover end-of-life materials, reduce environmental impact, and turn today’s waste into tomorrow’s opportunity. A key industrial transformation lever – fully aligned with Nexans’ climate ambition.

Feeling It to Understand It

For Nexans, the energy transition begins with awareness. That’s why the Group supported Climate Sense, an immersive experience created by explorer Christian Clot and the Human Adaptation Institute. By stepping into a 50°C environment for 30 minutes, visitors physically felt the effects of climate disruption : every movement slowed, every decision became harder. A powerful way to bring tomorrow’s reality into sharp focus—unless we act today.

Raising Awareness to Drive Change

Throughout the event, Nexans sponsored several workshops from the Fresque collective, including the Plastic Fresk, which helps participants understand the environmental impact of plastics and identify concrete levers for action. Over 1,000 people took part in this collaborative learning experience – conducted in both French and English – to grasp today’s major ecological challenges.

From Words to Action

Nexans’ involvement in ChangeNOW 2025 reflects its determination to fully embrace its role as a leader in sustainable electrification. Beyond promises, the Group is taking real-world action for a more responsible, energy-efficient, and resilient industry.

From advancing circularity in metallurgy, to raising public awareness of the climate emergency, to engaging with experts on a sustainable future, Nexans puts electrification at the service of the climate. This commitment follows a science-based trajectory validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with a clear ambition: to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
