Nexans has completed the replacement of a part of the 145 kV SCFF subsea cable supplying Corfu, Greece, after it was damaged by a shipβs anchor 2024.
The replacement project was initiated by Client IPTO (Independent Power Transmission Operator) in March 2025 and was successfully finalized in November 2025, marking the safe and efficient restoration of a critical power connection.
Despite the complexity of the operation, the works were executed according to plan, with zero safety incidents, and strong collaboration between Nexansβ teams and IPTO. The work was carried out using the Nexans Skagerrak vessel and coordinated across multiple departments to ensure seamless execution from mobilization to final demobilization.
This project shows what reliable execution really means. Our teams brought together the right expertise, the right preparation and the right mindset. IMR is about readiness and trust β being able to respond when customers need us, and to deliver safely under challenging offshore conditions.
