Project description:
- A project commissioned by YEMGAS FZCO on behalf of Yemen LNG Ltd (YLNG)
- New plant located on the Arabian Gulf port of Balhaf (southern coast of Yemen)
- Two LNG liquefaction trains capable of delivering a total of 6.7 million tons of LNG per year
Customer challenges:
- A complex oil & gas project
- Optimize the supply chain: select one reliable supplier to provide the cables to carry power, data and telecommunications throughout the terminal
Nexans solutions:
- 1,100 km of medium-voltage and low-voltage power, instrumentation and optical cables armored with steel tapes
- Cables manufactured by Nexans plants in Belgium and France, and installed in 2007
