Apprentis d’Auteuil modernizes an ‘’electricity’’ training thanks to the Nexans Foundation
Nexans Foundation supported Apprentis d’Auteuil to implement a new axis of training dedicated to the flow of information through fiber optics within the “ELEEC” (Electrotechnical Energy Communicating Equipments) training devoted to energy flows.
Support for this training enabled the complete renovation of a room to accommodate the new equipment required and allow the intervention of professionals. The young people's skills will be strengthened thus enhancing their employability in a nearby business both individual and business.
Until now the courses offered are based on the traditional copper wiring. The crisis in the construction sector has reduced natural outlets for businesses complicating access to employment. The fiber optic cabling has therefore established itself as an essential skill for an electrician while access to electricity or modernization of private facilities is in increasing demand but sometimes inaccessible to people in precarious situations.
The young people trained will thus be able to make installations in optical fiber and control the functioning on three essential bases: pull in state of the art optical fiber, prepare and connect these fibers and finally realize the necessary photometric and reflectometric measurements.
The "Auteuil Apprentices Foundation" is a recognized public interest organization. Global player committed to the prevention and protection of children, it is developing in France and abroad with host, education, training and integration programs to give young people and vulnerable families what their lack the most: confidence.
