Nexans technical conference to look at energy saving for data centers
Nexans’ cabling conference will address the challenges in increasing efficiency and energy usage in data centers
Paris, November 12, 2014 – Nexans will host its data center conference in Paris on December 1st, 2014. The conference, “Data Centre Cabling Evolution for Energy Savings and Efficiencies” will look at how to meet the demand for more efficient and less energy-intensive data centers.
Nexans specialists and industry experts will present on current issues affecting data centers including the increasing demand for data traffic, the need for greater energy efficiency and the environmental impact of computing. The conference will include an exhibition and will be concluded with a panel discussion.
Oene-Wim Stallinga, Marketing Director at Nexans Cabling Solutions, said, “We are on the verge of a new generation of data centers. Both IT- and data center managers are under pressure to deal with more data at lower cost. They must also consider the environmental impact of power-intensive data centers. The conference is a great opportunity for consultants, engineers and facility managers to get an inside view of the newest developments in data centers, such as superconductivity.
We have a line up of experts from across the industry including Paolo Bertoldi, Directorate General Joint Research Centre at the European Commission; Professor Ian Bitterlin, Visiting Professor at Leeds University and CTO at Emerson Network Power Systems EMEA and several consultants.
The conference is essential for everyone who wants to know about the latest developments in data networks, energy savings and efficiencies in data centers.”
Mark Rogers, Managing Director Nexans Cabling Solutions added “The conference will address the difficult issues data center managers face and how different design options contribute to operational efficiencies. It will highlight the role of data- and power cabling to address those issues and how Nexans can assist with its know-how and solutions.”
The conference, taking place on December 1st, 2014, will be held at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France.
Registration is open to professionals involved in designing data centers. As the number of seats is limited, prior online registration is necessary. You can register for the conference here.
