- a platform for the further education of specialists

Cable Acadamy 2008Due to the success of the "Cable Academy 2008", Nexans Germany is planning, together with Nexans Switzerland, a similar 2011 session. This event should serve to bring together and pass on the expertise from the high-voltage and FTTH cables and cable systems areas. Just like any other academy, the Cable Academy also aims to bring together recognised experts from the respective specialist areas and present information, which represents the benchmark in the respective domains. In addition to Nexans specialists, guest speakers from institutes of technology, universities and industry will give talks on a wide range of technical subjects.

The academy offers energy network experts the option to select between two different modules:

1. Smart grids and innovations in high-voltage energy transmission

2. Use of fibre-optic technology in electrical grids

The presentations will predominantly be held in German.

Specialists for energy networks

The Nexans Cable Academy for Experts is a platform for the further education of specialists. For Nexans, this represents a pronounced specialisation in power supply networks and in the infrastructure networks for communication applications. This knowledge has been acquired from projects in the planning, engineering and manufacturing areas as well as from experience garnered from onsite installation and assembly. Our sole aim: our customers – engineers, technicians, planners and specialists of these networks – should benefit from our decades of experience and the quality of our services, which form the basis of the reputation of Nexans.

Venue

The first event of this international academy, on February 17-18, 2011, will be held in RUST (Germany) in order to allow as many specialists to participate as possible from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Europapark will still be closed at this time; Nexans, however, has been able to reserve a suitable conference room and hotel rooms in the Colosseo Event Hotel.

Price:
