Large data centres consume as much energy as an average city, emit more heat and often suffer from inadequate cooling.
That is why Nexans has introduced Environmental Monitoring & Access Control (EMAC), which optimises data centre management. EMAC determines a data centre’s current and future required capacity, and can check the energy being used by the various hosted clients. It also offers security measures and problem-solving features, including access and connection control, system load management and planning and emergency alarms. All of these features as well as the servers can be controlled remotely via a secure IP address.
